Our corporate services explained:
In an era where the workforce is increasingly recognizing the value of diversity and inclusion, addressing the silent impact of menopause is crucial. Research indicates a significant number of women feel compelled to leave their jobs due to the lack of support and understanding around menopause. For instance, a study by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) found that three in five menopausal women, especially those between the ages of 45 and 55, were negatively affected at work due to symptoms of menopause.
Furthermore, the lack of workplace support not only exacerbates this issue but also contributes to a broader problem of talent drain, with potentially 900,000 women in the UK having left their jobs due to menopausal symptoms, as per a study by BUPA.
According to research, replacing leavers cost c.£30,000. This includes direct recruitment costs and non-tangibles such as bringing a new team member up to the required level of performance.
These statistics underscore the critical need for workplaces to adapt and support their employees through menopause, turning this challenge into an opportunity for growth, retention, and enhanced workplace culture.
As a menopause expert champion, I work in partnership with your HR, Diversity & Inclusion, Training and Development teams to provide a comprehensive blend of information, education and support to improve the wellbeing of your people, leading to improved culture and confidence.
Through our holistic menopause work our goal is to educate, equip and empower.
100% of the profits we make from our work with corporates will be reinvested into our community work. As well as enabling us to provide free community-based menopause cafes, the profits will also contribute to the cost of other community provision including workshops and courses.
